Author's Comments

I was extremely bored, so I looked for and found this contest. [link]

The characters, Aiko and Ebony, are... elves. I thought them interesting. :) The specifications for the contest were that the story had to be based around mythology. This particular short section that Aiko starts to tell Ebony about is based off of the books of R. A. Salvatore (read them!!!).

I think that the way Aiko seems to twist the story (though probably more twisted than he usually makes it) shows that myths really can't be trusted, because of how much they do change.

And the ending... every one person or thing in a myth, was once real. Seriously. Just think about that for a minute.

Awesome, huh?

Hey, a writing piece! C: And the first piece about Aiko and Ebony. This is a good read and you wrote the two of them very nicely! Keeping them and even the myth in the realm of DnD fantasy is a fresh approach. C:

Thanks for entering and good luck in the contest!

Thanks. :) Glad it was appealing. I tend to write fantasy so it was just natural to keep them where I found them- in D&D.

Also, thanks for :+fav:ing.

I admit I'm not so experienced with main-stream DnD, but I did like how you captured the ideal of myths with these two. Very good writing ^^
